Yutaka Loves London

Client:  Virgin Atlantic Date:  Nov 2005 Type:   Campaign | Website |

Overview

What do you do if you see a Japanese hacker and digital artist sneaking round the streets of London?...Follow him of course!

Delete were engaged by Miami based agency Crispin Porter Bogusky to create the digital component for a Virgin Atlantic US campaign promoting London as a cool destination for a young US audience, post 7/7.

We created a Key Influencer Campaign based on a fictitious character - a jet-setter, hacker and interactive artist called Yutaka – The campaign centered around a view of London through his eyes – presenting London as a hero destination and generating a real desire to travel there as part of a bigger campaign push.

We produced interactive seeding, viral and video content to drive users to the website.

At it’s height the site received over 75,000 unique visitors a month. Yutaka is still driving traffic to this day, so London must still be on the agenda for the young US traveller.

Client Says

“From a creative, design, and content standpoint, Delete exceeded all our expectations. From a design and development standpoint, the site impressed not only clients, but the design community as well.”
