Delete were enlisted to create an online campaign which would encourage gamers to engage with the Game brand and new website in a fun way. They wanted to invigorate awareness and drive users to sign up to their Wish List programme during the Christmas period.
Handmade Game focused around two industrious characters, who through not getting the games they want are forced into making their own handmade game. Our campaign included a microsite and launch/buzz marketing activity.
The site was created using a series of flash controlled video sequences of our two players. The user is then able to play these characters ‘live’ in a simulated penalty shoot-out.
Site users spent up to five and a half minutes on the site, and the campaign achieved a 10% conversion to the Wish List through a competition. We also encouraged users to interact with the brand in a new way.
